Brown rice, a 100 percent whole grain food, joins the recognized ranks
of healthful whole grains, according to a recent announcement from
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that will allow brown rice

Cooking Directions - In the Microwave
- Remove film from cup. Place cup in microwave and heat on HIGH for 1 minute (cooking time for 2 cups is 1 ½ minutes).
- IMPORTANT: Remove cup carefully from microwave taking hold of cup from the side using an oven mitt or potholder. DO NOT PLACE HAND OVER TOP OF CUP WHEN REMOVING. CAUTION: Cup and steam will be very hot.
- Stir rice and pour onto serving dish or eat right out of the cup. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Cooking Directions - On the Stove
- In a medium-size saucepan, add 2 quarts of water and bring to a boil.
- Carefully place cup in boiling water.
- Allow sealed cup to remain in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Remove cup carefully from water using tongs or other utensil.
- Let cup set for 2 to 3 minutes to cool.
- Hold cup with pot holder and remove film carefully. CAUTION: Cup and steam will be very hot.
- Stir rice and pour onto serving dish or eat right out of the cup. Serve immediately … Enjoy!
