• How can I tell if this MINUTE® Rice package can still be used?
  The code number is in Julian form. It is embossed or printed in ink on the top or bottom of the box, and indicates the date of production. The 1st character designates the year, the next 3 characters designate the day of the year, and the 5th designates the plant of production. Additional characters designate the shift and/or line within the production facility. For example, a code of 6198D14 indicates that the product was produced on the 198th day of 1996. The product will retain its best freshness and quality for at least 18 months if stored in a cool dry place. Still have a question? Contact us!
• How should I store MINUTE® Rice?
  Store package in a cool, dry place in the original box or other container, which permits circulation of air. Still have a question? Contact us!
• How should my MINUTE® Rice be stored if it hasn't been opened?
  The proper way to store MINUTE® Rice is at room temperature, in a cool dry place.

• I've had my MINUTE® Rice in my pantry for a while now. How can I tell if it has expired?
  All of our products have what is called a code date . This date can be considered a Best When Used By Date. The Best When Used By Date on your MINUTE® Rice product is located on the bottom or top of the box. For example, say that your stamped date is as follows:

  Mar 24 99 = is the best when used by date
  H= is the plant code
  5= is the production line
  16:03 = is the time (in military time = 4:03pm)
